…I am sad to inform that Al Frew (AKA Big Al) has passed away. This is a great loss to not only his family and friends, but also to OFR Nation. He was one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever know. He will be greatly missed. Below is Al’s Obituary:
FREW , Alexander “Al” C., Jr., of Randolph, passed away peacefully, on November 2, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 76. Born in Boston, Al grew up in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School. Al was a Firefighter for the Town of Randolph for 36 years. After his retirement, Al was a driver for the Orchard Cove Retirement Community in Canton. In his free time he enjoyed vacationing on the Cape, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Al was a member of the O.F.R. Motorcycle Club of Massachusetts. Al was the beloved husband of Virginia M. (Wagner) Frew. Loving father of Alexander “Al” Frew and his wife Christine of E. Bridgewater, Deanne “Dee” Wigley of Holbrook and Paul Frew and his former wife Rebecca of E. Bridgewater. Dear Papa of Lauren Frew and her fiancé Matt Farrell of Marion, Michelle Frew and her loving companion Michael Mullen of Halifax, Victoria Frew of E. Bridgewater, Mary and Megan Wigley of Holbrook and Hunter, Hayden and Helana Frew of E. Bridgewater. Son of the late Elizabeth “Betty” (Klauer) Frew. Brother- in- law of Jay Wagner of Salem, Carl and Jean Wagner of Marshfield and Betty Ann Wagner and her late husband Bobby Wagner of Canton. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt. 28) Randolph until 10:00 AM on Friday followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. James Church, 560 Page St., Stoughton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a Charity of one’s choice. Al will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Two founding members of OFR – South Mississippi Chapter, Randy Perniciaro and Terry Foskey and new member Terry Hull join hundreds of bikers, including Governor Phil Bryant to raise money for Homes of Grace substance abuse programs on Saturday 26 Sept 15. The police escorted ride started at the Airport in Moss Point and ended at a large celebration held at Gulfport MS 1st Baptist Church where hundreds of well wishers welcomed the Biker’s arrival.

…Joel Brint has informed me he is forming a North Shore/Boston Chapter of the Old Fart Riders Of Massachusetts. The new Chapter will hold it’s 1st “Gathering” Tuesday 15 October at 8:30 am at the Lincoln’s Landing Cafe, 156 Humphrey St. Swampscott Ma.
